Unika is a well established Charity Organisation aimed at helping the elderly and the communities to claim their rights, challenge discrimination and overcome poverty thereby fostering dignified, secure, active and healthy lives in the UK and developing countries such as Malawi and Zimbabwe in Africa.

With its continued efforts to building a socially inclusive society where all people feel valued regardless of individual differences, Unika continues touching lives by offering Christmas dinners around Luton for the elderly during festive seasons and supply of clothing to the communities besides the 7 boreholes already constructed in Nathenje, Malawi that now caters for safe and clean drinking water for the community, according to Yendamo Kapalamula, one of the Charity’s Trustees.

Sam Huwa, yet another trustee of Unika Charity says as Unika believes in helping people earn a better living through responses to tackling abuse against the vulnerable and undertaking humanitarian work, the charity will this year also date the communities on Christmas day with Christmas dinners around Dunstable in Luton like they did last year.

PAMTENGO DJING, MUSIC & SOUND TECHNOLOGY TRAINING PROGRAMME

The organisation will use the funding to purchase music and sound technology equipment and start delivering workshops to young adults from disadvantaged communities who are struggling to find employment. This will enable the group to engage with young adults who may lack the skills, experience and confidence to seek out training or employment in order to improve their confidence, teach them about using technical equipment and producing music to give them experience of working with others positively.
